Supremacy of God

“Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me. I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought. According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.” Hosea 13:4-6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/hos.13.4-6.kjv

Supremacy of God

Time and time again, we as humans go through phases from the phases where we have a need, are challenged with one situation or another and call to God desperately. And then we go into the phases where the answers come, pleasures abound, we go into the pastures and then we get comfortable and gradually start to drift away from the one that was our anchor when we were in need.  In the Bible reading today, God reminds Israel of how he took them out of Egypt and through the wilderness but how they have managed to forget him when they got into the pastures. This is despite the warnings that Moses gave to the Israelites when they were about to enter into the promised land not to forget that God is indeed the one who gives power to make wealth. As you transit through and out of your wilderness experience, never forget the one who kept you and gave you the hope and future. He is able to also make the proud come to nothing. He is the supreme God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the journey of my life. I repent of any past acts of pride against you. Please help me to look to you always as the author and finisher of my faith. Let my life be guided by you always and let me blossom in the blessings of a divinely empowered life 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
