The Ancient Paths

“Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the Lord was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God.” 2 Chronicles 5:1 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/2ch.5.1.kjv

The Ancient Paths

The work of the kingdom is a continuum and so while every one has his/her own part to play, there should be no break in the flow. In the Bible reading today, Solomon had completed the building of the temple as commissioned by his father King David. When he was done, despite the availability of resources to bring in fresh supplies, he also brought into the temple that which his father David had dedicated. As Christians under tutelage of others, when we do come into our own there are sometimes temptation to launch out differently. While the model of deployment may change from one generation to another, the fundamental truth must remain the same.  The foundation of the Lord stands sure and Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever more. Furthermore, we are asked not to remove the ancient landmarks. So, as you go about your kingdom assignments, be conscious that ancient truths are preserved.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your loving kindness always. Thank you for your wisdom and inspiration. As I sow in the kingdom vineyard, please help me to please you always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
