When Jesus shows up, it is an appointment with destiny for someone. In today’s Bible reading, the story is told of Jesus’ visit to the country of the Gadarenes. It was a short visit as he could not stay long due to the impact of the sequence of events that occurred. He was first met by a challenging situation for the land. A mad man who could not be tamed, a residential apartment for legions of demons. However because the king of kings showed up, a story was rewritten, an evangelist was born out of a hopeless forgotten man.  While the byproduct of that deliverance was a loss for the owners of the swine that had been feeding nearby as they became the new host for the demons and were destroyed, a life had been changed forever and the seed of the light of the gospel in the decapolis has been sown. Jesus had to depart because the people could not handle the sheer capacity of the one who showed up to terminate a terror situation but the one whose appointment it was on that day did not miss it. Are you on standby for your appointment with Jesus? Don’t miss it.  You cannot remain the same again when the Lord shows up for an appointment with you. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the ruler over all. Thank you because you are the miracle working God. I come to you today for an encounter. Let me not miss my moments of impact. Let every challenging situation in my life meet with your transforming light in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
