The Called out
“Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out. And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.” Leviticus 20:22-23 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.20.22-23.kjv

Graced to be different. Often, God brings his children into a new season, position and promise. He does this to bring glory to his name. It is important though that as we plan and settle into the new season we make up our minds to be different for God. Daniel and his friends were selected out of the Hebrew slaves as trainees for palace assignments. Rather than blend with the practices of the ‘affluent’ they decided to be set apart for God. This resulted in immense benefits for them ultimately as the one who they made proud continued to provided even greater positions of recognitions for them in the land where they were strangers. In the Bible reading today, God was again warning the Israelites on their journey into the promised land not to engage in the sinful practices of the previous inhabitants of the land so that they do not loose their place in the promised land. Are you daring to be different for God or are you blending into abominable practices? God’s expectations remain the same. Stand with God always in your endeavors and watch him add color to your life in uncommon ways.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you consistently make uncommon ways of lifting for your children. Please Lord, help me to live true to your calling over my life. Let my life bring glory to you always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
