The dangers of disobedience

“But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.” Leviticus 26:14, 16, 21 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.26.14-21.kjv

The dangers of disobedience

Disobedience creates a vicious cycle of destruction. The further away you get, the higher the graduation of the impacts. The chapter of the Bible reading today highlights God’s instructions to the Isrealites on the consequences of disobeying His commandments. It scales up seven times if the previous one does not cause a rethink. But the good news is that God still provides an out. If they humble themselves and repent and seek his face then for the sake of the convenant with their patriarchs he will reverse the situation. Unfortunately some individuals will already be victims of the pestilences from the disobedience. We have an out too today, the blood of Jesus that speaks redemption is available. Does it look like the heaven over a business, home, nation is iron or the ground is brass, unyielding despite efforts? Then it’s time for a retracing. Check that you are still at the center of his will. If not, seek for forgiveness and turn back to him. The grace is available. Don’t get lost in the vicious cycle that sin creates.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you. Thank you for the privilege to learn your ways in the book of life. Thank you for the instructions for life. Dear Lord, please open my eyes to see in the mirror of your word, any way that I may have drifted from your will and please grant me the grace to retrace my steps. Let me be accepted of you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
