The Fear of the Lord

“Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?” Deuteronomy 4:5-7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.4.5-7.kjv

The Fear of the Lord

For the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, says the word of God. In the Bible reading today, Moses was still speaking to the Isrealites as they were getting ready to go into the promised land.  He was handing over to them key secrets and nuggets for thriving in their inheritance. Critical amongst that is the instruction to keep the words and ways of God that he has taught them to heart. It was the secret ingredient that would make the nations around them reckon that they were unique. The fear of the Lord attracts God’s presence into one’s life and when you have as your journey partner the one who created the heavens and the earth, and knows the deepest thoughts of people then you cannot fly blind.  So question today is: Do you have God in your corner? Do you follow his leading to the letter? Then the results will be evident for the world to see even in your secular work as the fear of the Lord is indeed the beginning of wisdom.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are indeed the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end, the all-knowing God. Father, I welcome you afresh into my life. Please partner with me on the journey of life and grant me wisdom and ultimate victory 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
