What does God’s presence represent to you? A devouring fire or a cloud of encounter? The state of a material that encounters fire determines the results of the encounter. Whereas fire refines gold, it burns wood to charcoal or ash. The Bible says that blessed are the pure in heart because they shall see God. Are you sanctified for God’s presence and encounter? In today’s Bible reading, Moses was called up the mountain for a training by God.  God asked him to come up higher so that he could receive the tables of commandments to enable him teach the people. When the presence of the Lord ascended on the mountain, God called Moses into his presence but for the Israelites that were looking from below, God’s glory appeared like devouring fire. God is constantly seeking those that would sanctify themselves and come up higher? Would you heed the call for an encounter with the one who refines and empowers? Or would you continue to tremble from a distance.  No one encounters God and remains the same. Would you be refined or destroyed?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty and majestic God who does terrible things in righteousness. Thank you for a call towards worship and fellowship with you. Please Lord, justify me worthy and help me to be sanctified to approach your throne of encounter and let the refinement of that encounter transform my life for good in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
