The Heart of Kings
“After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:” Ezekiel 38:8, 10 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.38.10.kjv

God holds the hearts of kings in his hands and turns it whatsoever way that he pleases. He even controls the hearts of our enemies which is why he tells us that when a person’s ways pleases him he makes his enemies to be at peace with him. The extent of God’s ways are past finding out. An example was when he sent Moses to Pharaoh and yet he told Moses that he had hardened Pharaoh’s heart. This is because according to the Bible, God raised Pharaoh up so that he can show forth his power to all. In the Bible reading today, the Lord asked Prophet Ezekiel to prophesy against a land telling them of a future time when they will rise up against the land of Israel because they will think an evil thought. All of this so that his glory may be shown to the heathen. So what does this all mean for children of God? It is important that our steps are aligned with things that bring glory to God because God is able to move mountains, turn stones to bread and use anyone and anything to show forth his glory and the outcomes may not exactly be pleasant for each individual depending on what side of God’s mercies that you are on in the show of his power and glory. If in doubt, the story of Pharaoh and how they perished in the Red Sea should always be a reminder of how the forces of nature yield to the glory of God.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the almighty God who rules in the affairs of men and do as it pleases you. Please Lord, please have mercy upon me, show me your ways and use me for your glory. Please let the evidence of your glory through my life yield positive effects for me and all mine in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
