The Help of God

“And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it. Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the captains, and he said, Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.” 1 Chronicles 12:17-18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1ch.12.17-18.kjv

The Help of God

God makes all things beautiful in its time. The Bible also tells us that when a man’s way pleases God, even his enemies will be at peace with him. In the fullness of time, David was to become king in Israel and the chapter of the Bible reading today talked about how many men of war came to David to make him king. They were in their thousands. Well, this after years in which David was on the run with his small circle of faithfuls. But when the time finally came, a great army was available to enthrone him.  When some of the early sets showed up to David, he wanted to know where their allegiance was and the response was very interesting. They were there to help him because first the Lord had helped him. If there is one thing that is critical for the victory in life’s endeavor, it is the help of God. Seek his help today because the Bible tells us that when God is in the midst of a people then the shout of the King is with them.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty one in battle. The all-powerful and all-knowing God. Father, I commit myself afresh into your hands, please help me. Because one with you is always a majority. Journey with me Lord and grant me victory 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
