The King of Glory
“And he made the mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half was the length thereof, and one cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And he made two cherubims of gold, beaten out of one piece made he them, on the two ends of the mercy seat;” Exodus 37:6-7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.37.6-7.kjv

Every glimpse that God provides of his throne and of heaven highlights the beauty and glory of it all. It’s often with description of gold and precious stones. The book of revelation described the streets of the city of God , the new Jerusalem, as being paved with gold. The Bible tells us that the heavens declare the glory of the Lord. We also see in the book of Exodus how upon the long encounter with God, Moses’ face shone so brightly that he had to be using a veil to cover his face when talking to the people as they could not look directly into the glory. In today’s Bible verse, according to God’s instruction, the mercy seat in the ark was made of pure gold and the cherubims as well were made of God. A deep encounter with the throne of God transforms you from glory to glory. It’s an encounter that we should continue to aspire towards as Christians through sanctification and complete obedience. The evidence of such encounters in nothing short of glory to the world.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the majestic God who rules over heaven and earth. Thank you for the constant invitation to approach your throne. As I come in obedience, let the glory of your presence transform my life into gold as a reflection of your glory to the world in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
