Human’s assessment or Heaven’s standard? In today’s Bible reading, the Pharisees and the rest of the people looked at Jesus Christ on the cross and made jest of him saying that if he could save others, why couldn’t he save himself. They were so ignorant as to what they were witnessing. He was in the process of translating the individual help that he offered in his physical lifetime to an eternal salvation that generations could tap into. He was undertaking his ultimate assignment of redemption of mankind to God and yet in the eyes of the people he appeared weak.  This is why the Bible asks Christians to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame and is now sitting at the right hand of the father. His blood continues to speak for us. He continues to make intercessions for his own and yet in the instance he was being ridiculed. This is apparently why meekness is one of the fruit of the spirit, a true act of surrender or submission despite immense power and capacity.  Jesus has indeed provided a guide for us who are on kingdom assignments to endure the process on the journey to the glory in our assignments here on earth and ultimately to our eternal glory. Don’t trade off your eternal joy for instant gratification to prove undiscerning people right.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the ultimate price that Jesus paid to redeem us back to you. Thank you for the strength that he makes available to us on our kingdom assignments. Lord, I receive renewed grace to be discerning and to stay focused on path and process to the glory in my assignment in life’s marketplace in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
