One great benefit of light is that it enhances sight. It gives a better appreciation of ourselves and surroundings. We see better the beauty and identify early obstacles and dangers. If you woke up and needed to get something done at night, the first instinct is to reach for the light source. Even if we have mastered our environments and could walk with our eyes closed, if someone put an object in your typical path, you’ll most likely stumble because you are unable to identify the change quickly in the absence of light. However, the presence of light does not always guarantee sight as you may decide to tie on a blindfold or even just shut your eyes for the fun of it. God is light and he is offering us spiritual sight and an appreciation of ourselves when we collaborate with him by opening up our eyes. Accepting his salvation, then seeing him through the lens of his word and guided by the HolySpirit while also fellowshiping with one another. Then we can see in His light the blemishes in our lives and the obstacles on our path and then reach out for his cleansing so we can then walk in a newness of purpose, confident that our path is indeed clear to enable all round thriving...

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for the offer of your light. Please have mercy on me for any way that I have been obstructing the benefit of the light. Open my eyes to see and help me to thrive in the newness that the sight offers 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
