The Secretplace
“Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.” Psalm 27:3-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.27.3-5.kjv

The Bible tells us in Psalm 125:1 that those who put their trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion that cannot be moved. Where is the source of your confidence? Is it in riches and earthly things or does it come from the assurance of the one who is in your boat? The psalmist in today’s Bible reading lets us into the secret of his confidence in the face of adversity. It is a life of worship and service to God. This provides an assurance of protection in the face of the storms of life. We have been told that He who dwells in the secret place of the most High will abide under his shadow. The preparation before the challenge activates the protection automatically. Don’t wait till there is a challenge before you seek God because such a one may faint in the day of adversity from a limited source of strength.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the provision of your presence to those who are willing and trust in you. Please Lord, I receive renewed grace to abide in your presence and fellowship with you. Please preserve in the day of trouble for your name sake 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
