The spirit of God gives guidance

“And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly. And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the Lord fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.” 1 Samuel 11:6-7 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.11.6-7.kjv

The spirit of God gives guidance

A key ingredient for leadership and exploits especially in kingdom assignments is the spirit of the Lord. In the Bible reading today, some people within Isreal were being oppressed by the Ammonites and even when they pleaded and were willing to be servants to them, the leader of the Ammonites demanded that their right eyes be plucked out. When this news got to the newly appointed King Saul, the spirit of the Lord came upon him and he received guidance and utterance that made the Isrealites cooperate with him for the fear of the Lord. Ultimately, the battle was won against the oppressors and suddenly those who were second-guessing Saul’s leadership earlier became praise singers. Do you have an assignment? Ask for the inspiration of the HolySpirit and follow his leadership so that the task can be made easy. The Bible reminds us that those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits.
