The stone that the builders rejected
“And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob: And they said unto Jephthah, Come, and be our captain, that we may fight with the children of Ammon. And Jephthah said unto the elders of Gilead, If ye bring me home again to fight against the children of Ammon, and the Lord deliver them before me, shall I be your head? And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, The Lord be witness between us, if we do not so according to thy words.” Judges 11:5-6, 9-10 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/jdg.11.5-6,9-10.kjv
One with God is a majority. The bible speaks of Jesus saying that the stone which the builders rejected is now the headstone of the corner. In the Bible reading today, Jephthah had been rejected by his brethren branded as worthless due to his roots. But his trust was in God and in the fullness of time, he was sought out as a deliverer to his brethren and nation because they had seen something in him. They were now willing to make him their ruler if the Lord granted him victory. Jephthah recognized his source of strength and was very clear in saying “if the Lord deliver them before me”. Our God is the Mighty one in battle and a partnership with him is the ultimate investment. So, are you feeling rejected, cast down and unworthy? Turn to the creator of the heavens and earth and in due time, he who is rejected of men will be celebrated because the ultimate marketer and brand master is your ally. Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. Glory!!!!
Prayer: Dear God, I look to you today. I choose you Lord regardless of all that is happening around me. Please fight my battles and make me victorious in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
