God’s foundational covenants and instructions are still relevant today. He is the same God yesterday, today and always. His standards of righteousness and holiness, and his commandments for absolute obedience do not change. The Bible reading today highlighted how God reminded the people of Israel that the instructions given to their fathers was still in place and not only do they lose out on the benefits that come from being ‘God’s people’, there are in fact curses for disobeying the instructions. So really, there is no option for sitting on the fence. One way to recognize the instructions of God over your life is to seek the word of God because in the volume of the books is written of you.  The Bible records a king who was shocked at how far the kingdom has derailed when the scrolls of the temple were found and read to him, unfortunately the deed was already done at the time with impending judgement. So, Are you investing in knowing God’s instructions by searching his word? Another critical resource is the Holy Spirit, the living translator. Invest in your relationship with the Holy Spirit to ensure that you receive the right prod towards the will of God. Invest wisely.

Please Lord, as I seek you, let me find the deep insights of your words that help me to live a life that is acceptable to you and let my life thrive in the benefits of a life that pleases you, my maker, in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
