The Bible tells us not to fear those that can kill the body and not the soul but that instead we should fear the one, the Lord God, who can kill both the body and soul. In the Bible reading today, the Lord describes the end of some mighty terrors. They had now been slain despite the fact that they caused terror in the land of living. The Bible tells us that it is appointed unto man to die once and after that follows judgement. This judgement would determine where you spend your eternity. Hence no matter how long a person’s stay on earth is, it is nothing compared to what happens after. It is important that we don’t for the fear of what people will say, commit sin against the one who will be the judge of where eternity will be spent. Choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for being our ever present help in times of need. Please Lord give the boldness to do your will and live holy at all times despite the threats that I might experience. Let your guiding arms secure my today and my eternity in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
