The Works of God
“For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. O LORD, how great are thy works! And thy thoughts are very deep.” Psalm 92:4-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.92.4-5.kjv

Our God is great and his works are indescribable. The Bible tells us that God’s mercies and faithfulness are new every morning. In the Bible reading today, the Psalmist reiterated this by encouraging us to celebrate God’s loving kindness in the morning and his faithfulness at night. His works make the righteous glad because he makes ways where there are no ways for the praise and glory of his name. We are also told that his thoughts are deep. Isaiah tells us that as high as the heavens are from the earth, so are God’s ways and thoughts different from ours. We get glimpses into a fraction of his thoughts when we see how he strings together seemingly unrelated events in the lives of individuals to fulfill his divine mandate. So, in addition to celebrating and telling the world of his goodness, there are benefits for children of God to continue to learn God’s ways because in his ways are life-everlasting and pleasures for evermore.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the omniscient God. Thank you because you are the God of all flesh and you show us your mercies daily. Please Lord show me your ways consistently so that I can walk in them and bask in the pleasure of your presence 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
