The Bible tells us that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever more. He is unchangeable regardless of the nature of our situation. The Bible reading today highlights the power of Jesus to address the forces of nature when he first walked on the waters to get to his disciples who had gone ahead of him in a ship and when he controlled the storm that the disciples where battling with. This amazed the disciples and the Bible recorded that this was because their hearts were hardened.  They had forgotten that earlier in that day he had just fed thousands with just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. This is a message to every believer out there. If God can come through on other tough issues, why wouldn’t he be able to come through for you in whatever new dimension of challenge that you are dealing with? This was the main challenge that the Israelites had on their journey to the promised land. Right after God solved one issue, as soon as the next one appears, they seem to completely forget what had just been conquered and they start to whine about the next problem.  This provoked God so many times that he almost wiped out the whole nation. Trust is very important in God’s books. He wants you to yield completely to him and see him come through for you as you obey his instructions. Learn to trust God. Stop second-guessing his ability to deliver you. He is the omnipotent God who is an ever-present help in times of need.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the ever dependable and reliable God whose capacity is unchanged regardless of the nature of the situation in front of us. Lord, please help me to learn to trust you completely so that I can benefit from the capacity that you have to address even the situations that I am not yet aware of in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
