They that trust in the Lord
“Then Rabshakeh stood, and cried with a loud voice in the Jews' language, and said, Hear ye the words of the great king, the king of Assyria. Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: for he shall not be able to deliver you. Beware lest Hezekiah persuade you, saying, The LORD will deliver us. Hath any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?” Isaiah 36:13-14, 18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.36.13-18.kjv

Our God saves. Yes, our God delivers. This is why the Bible reassures us that those that trust God are like Mount Zion that can never be moved. Also, we are reminded that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run in and they are saved. In addition, we know from the Bible that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High God will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Sometimes, the devil brings faulty data points to make us fear as was the case in the Bible reading today. The king of Assyria sent word to the people of Judah asking them to bow to him and not trust in any deliverance from their King or the Lord. He boasts by asking them where the gods of the other lands that he had defeated were. What he did not realize is that our sovereign God is incomparable with gods that are the works of men. Trust in the Almighty God and watch him crush the oppressors of your soul. You will stand back and see him grant you deliverance. He is more than able.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are our ever present help in the time time of needs. Lord I trust you afresh, please come through for me. Please show to the world that you are my God in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
