Train your Children in the way of the Lord
“Now, my son, the Lord be with thee; and prosper thou, and build the house of the Lord thy God, as he hath said of thee. Only the Lord give thee wisdom and understanding, and give thee charge concerning Israel, that thou mayest keep the law of the Lord thy God. Then shalt thou prosper, if thou takest heed to fulfil the statutes and judgments which the Lord charged Moses with concerning Israel: be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.” 1 Chronicles 22:11-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1ch.22.11-13.kjv

The Bible tells us to train up the child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. What legacies are we putting down for those behind us? In the Bible reading today, David was speaking to his son Solomon about the fact that he (Solomon) was going to reign after him and build an altar for the Lord. He told Solomon of the promises of God concerning him and he also prayed that God would grant him wisdom and understanding to be able to lead Israel. It is little wonder then that when God gave Solomon a blank cheque the first thing he asked for was Wisdom because it had been engrained in him how important it is. As we train up the young ones, are we teaching them to trust in the Lord always? Are we laying out the guidance and instructions that will serve then when they are not around you? We know that a child poorly trained squanders riches left for them. Don’t squander the spiritual riches that God is laying up for your generations by not laying the right foundations. The result could be disastrous. If in doubt, ask Eli.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are plenteous in mercy, wisdom and blessings. Please Lord, teach me your ways always and help me to teach others especially those that you have committed into my hands so that I will not fail in my kingdom assignments and legacy in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
