Trust in Man is vain
“When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me. I looked on my right hand, And beheld, but there was no man that would know me: Refuge failed me; No man cared for my soul.” Psalm 142:3-4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.142.3-4.kjv

The psalmists says that “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me…”. In the Bible reading today, the psalmist highlights the futility of trusting in man’s help because when he felt overwhelmed, he did not see any man to help. However, he says something profound. Right in the midst of his issues, he recognizes that God knows his path. We are told that darkness cannot hide anything from God. He sees you even in darkness. Hence, if there is one relationship worth investing in, it is the one with God who sees you all the time and has the ability to help in hardest of situations. One with God will always be a majority no matter who and what the opposition is. So what’s it going to be… Trust in man or Trust in the all sufficient God? Choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and mercies always. Thank you because your are our refuge in times of trouble. Lord, I rest in your amazing love. Please arise and deal with the troublers of my soul and peace in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
