Trusting God in uncertainties
“When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: according to the word of the LORD they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnath-serah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein.” Joshua 19:49-50 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jos.19.49-50.kjv

A popular hymn says that it is so sweet to trust in Jesus, and to take him at his word. Trusting in God and serving him in complete obedience unlocks doors of blessings. The story of Joshua and Caleb are testaments indeed of how sweet it is to trust in God. They were the only two of the twelve spies that spoke about the ability of Israel to take on the promised land. Hence, while God said that generation of Israel would die in the wilderness, he chose to preserve Joshua and Caleb to see the promise that they had envisioned. In today’s Bible reading, the Israelites gave an inheritance to Joshua according to his wish. He entered into the land and also received a special portion for daring to believe and trust God completely. Has God given you a promise? Trust him completely even if it does not look like it. Don’t let general opinions dissuade you. Trust him, and in the fullness of time he will make all things beautiful.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the ancient of days who rules in the affairs of men. Thank you for always being there for me. Thank you for the promises over my life. I trust you completely. Please give me the grace to stand firm till I enter into the fullness of the promise in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
