Victory without a fight
“They taught throughout Judah, taking with them the Book of the Law of the Lord; they went around to all the towns of Judah and taught the people. The fear of the Lord fell on all the kingdoms of the lands surrounding Judah, so that they did not go to war against Jehoshaphat. Some Philistines brought Jehoshaphat gifts and silver as tribute, and the Arabs brought him flocks: seven thousand seven hundred rams and seven thousand seven hundred goats.” 2 Chronicles 17:9-11 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/2ch.17.9-11.NIV

The highest level of victory in life’s battles is the one that has been granted before the battle even started. In the Bible reading today, We see that as a result of the commitment to the word of God and teaching the people God’s ways, king Jehoshaphat’s battles were sorted upfront as God put fear in the heart of his enemies and so they were bringing gifts instead. He was committed to God’s ways and truth and so God was committed to him and took away distractions. Again,we are reminded that Bible tells us to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all other things will be added unto us.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Please Lord I seek to know you more. Please show me your ways and give me the discipline and boldness to walk in them. As I follow you, please fight my battles upfront in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
