Wait for the Vision
”And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived: and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes.“ Genesis 16:2, 4 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.16.2-4.kjv

Resist the temptation to ‘help God’. The Bible tells us that vision is for an appointed time and that it will surely come to pass. So we are asked to wait for it. We are also told that a thousand years are like a day before God. He controls times and seasons and he is able to make adjustments even to the established cycles of life and nature to establish his own divine mandate. After all, he made the Sun to stand still for the Israelites to win the battle against their enemies. The Bible is filled with many miraculous alterations of the course of nature to fulfill God’s purpose. So bottom line is that he is not pressured by our perception of time of seeming hopelessness about situations. He is an intentional God. In the Bible reading today, Sarah proffered a solution to Abraham to address their childlessness and after the deed was done she was regretting because her case was worse off. She not only was barren but was now despised by the very one that she thought was her means to motherhood. We know that ultimately God showed up and answered her at a time that even she laughed at the possibility. Again, remind yourself that God is not deterred by the laws that bind us as human. He overrules and overturns. Has he said it? Then rest assured that it is done.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because indeed you control times and seasons. Lord, I come before you humbly asking for the grace to remain focused on you despite situations around me. Let your promises over my life come to fulfillment in your time and let me reap the benefits in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
