Walking with God

”and Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: and Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.“ Genesis 5:22-24 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.5.22-24.kjv

Walking with God

God yearns for a fellowship with us his children. The Bible tells us that God created all things for his pleasure. He loves to commune with us and that is why the book of Revelations tells us that he stands at the door of our heart and knocks. If we let him in, he will come in and dine with us and us with him. The chapter of the Bible reading today talks about the lineage of Adam with mentions of their first sons or heirs and then the details of how long each primary person in the lineage lived. However the story changed when it got to Enoch’s turn.  The reading today tells us that he walked with God so much so that God took him. He was translated into glory as opposed to the others who we were told had died. In our present day, walking with God in purity and truth creates an assurance of an eternal life of bliss when the timer ends on Mother Earth. It is a translation into an eternal life of glory and bliss. The choices that we make today have implications for what that translation will be. Choose right today. Choose a life of holiness and righteousness. Choose to walk with God.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Almighty God, the creator of heaven and earth and all that is within in. Thank you for being mindful of me and seeking out a relationship with me. Please Lord, help me know you more so that I can walk in your ways and let the divine pleasure that comes from a thriving relationship translate my life into glory both on earth and in eternal life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
