Walking with God
“Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: and the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: but they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:4-5, 30-31 KJV

God’s presence makes the difference. As children of God, the assurance that we have is not an absence of obstacles but of God’s presence through thick and thin. In the Bible reading today, we are told that at the word of the Lord, mountains will be made flat, valleys exalted and crooked paths made straight so that the glory of the Lord may be revealed. So is there a tough situation around you or up ahead, what you need the most is to be assured of God’s presence with you in that situation. If that is the case, then you can rest assured that he will show up to manifest his glory is such a way that it would be undeniable to the world that it is the hand of God. One more benefit of walking with God is the renewal of strength constantly. It allows you to run and not be weary, walk and not faint, and to mount up with wings as eagles. But something is consistent across all. It is that there is work to be done even though the strength for the work is provided by God always. The Christian walk is an active one and not a passive magical experience. Partner with God on your journey and see him come through for you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the assurances of renewed strength for those that wait upon you. Please Lord teach me to wait upon you so that I can thrive in the benefit of a divinely guided and empowered life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
