We now have access

“And he shall offer the second as a burnt offering according to the prescribed manner. So the priest shall make atonement on his behalf for his sin which he has committed, and it shall be forgiven him.” Leviticus 5:10 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/lev.5.10.NKJV

We now have access

Christ’s death made a way of access for us to come before the throne to seek repentance for sin and grace to live above same. He is a high priest that is touched with the feelings of our infirmity and so he obtains mercy on our behalf. However because he lived above sin despite been persecuted in human flesh, he also shows us that it is possible to live above sin. In today’s Bible reading we see that in the Old Testament, the priest had to make atonement on behalf of the individual for sin committed.  Now we have access to Christ but with access comes responsibility. In the days where you came to the priest with the offering, it was an outward indication of the repentance. However, Christ looks at the temple of the heart and so if you must seek repentance, it must be genuine from the heart and not just an outward show. So, are you approaching the throne to draw strength to live above sin or as you  taking the grace for granted?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for Jesus who paid the ultimate price for our redemption. Thank you for the blood that provides access to the throne of mercy and grace. Please Lord, help me through your word and Holy Spirit to live worthy of the calling into a live of purity and righteousness. Let the beauty of your holiness radiate through every aspect of my life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
