When God fights for you
”The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the LORD looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians, and took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians.“ Exodus 14:14, 24-25 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.14.14-25.kjv

When God fights for you, there is no debate about who is in the ring. In today’s Bible reading, the Israelites were at their wits end. They had just tasted freedom as they left Egypt but now their captors were back chasing after them. As a result they started to lament and were saying that they would have been better off in Egypt. However, Moses who was confident about the one who had given him the assignment of leading Isreal to the promised land assured them that God would fight for them and they would hold their peace. The Egyptians did not hear Moses say that to the Israelites but when the manifestation started, they acknowledged in fear that God was fighting for the Israelites. The Lord created the heavens and the earth. Hence even inanimate objects respond to the prompting of the ruler over all. Such was the case when all the chariots of Egypt started to give way in the middle of the Red Sea as they chased after the Israelites. The sea had not yet covered them but they could tell that God had arisen against them. God had told Moses that he will gain his honour from the Egyptians and Pharaoh. Of course the last things they acknowledged as they perished was the mighty hand of God. On your journey of divine purpose, do you feel threatened by oppressors? Trust the one who is leading you because he will fight for you and it would be evident. On the other hand make sure that you are not an oppressor to others on their divine journey because it is a dangerous thing to be on the other side of God’s mercy.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for being my shield and buckler. Thank you for being my defender. Help me Lord to rest completely in you as you reveal your glory to the world through the mighty deliverances from my oppressors in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
