When Mercy steps in

“Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, and said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.” Isaiah 38:2-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.38.2-5.kjv

When Mercy steps in

When God’s mercy intervenes, even closed cases are reopened. God’s mercy can reverse the irreversible. God’s mercy makes whole and restores. Often, we read in the Bible how Jesus had compassion on someone who was ill and then healed such a person. An example candidate of mercy is King Hezekiah in the Bible reading today who was ill and was going to die. God in fact sent the prophet to him to tell him to put his house in order.  Well, he wasn’t quite ready to go yet and he cried to God for mercy. He recalled how he had walked with God with a perfect heart and in truth. God had mercy on him and asked the prophet to let him know that he had received a bonus 15 years. God’s mercy still speaks in our situations as his children. Seek his face today and he may come through for you. However, first search your heart and put it in order so that sin does not become a barrier to God’s intervention.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your mercy that prevails over judgement. Please Lord, have mercy on me always. Let your mercy speak for me where I can’t speak for myself. Let the fruits of your mercy in my life be evident for the world to see in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
