Wisdom is profitable to direct
“And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, and behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants. And Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him, and was departed from Saul. And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him. Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him.” 1 Samuel 18:5, 12, 14-15 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/1sa.18.5-15.kjv
Wisdom is profitable to direct and according to the Bible, it is the principal thing. The Bible also tells us that “For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it” Eccl 7:14. This is certainly evident in the Bible reading today where wisdom in the life of David granted him favour but also defended him from the ill in the heart of Saul brought on by the praise singers and also keeping him ahead of all the cunning plans towards him. Wisdom is important to get us victory in the battle of life but it is all the more important after the win. Most people drop their guards right after a win hoping to ‘rest’ a while after many troubles. However we know that our adversary the devil is never tired, he is always vigilant looking to catch you off guard in a weak moment. Wisdom includes being wary of praise singers as they could soil a great relationship. David’s problems with Saul started after the Isrealites started comparing their war conquests ranking David higher. Are you in need of wisdom to tackle your situations? Ask from God who gives liberally (James 1:5).
Prayer: Dear God, Thank you for the victories that you give me in life’s battles. Please grant me the wisdom to navigate my life’s phases including the ‘victory aftermath’ to ensure sustained victory in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
