What is God demanding of you that is appearing too hard to yield? What has God provided and is now requesting? In the Bible reading today, we are told that God tempted Abraham. The seed of promise that eventually manifested after so many years was now requested of Abraham for a sacrifice. He was to journey out to make the sacrifice. He had many opportunities to change his mind but he arrived at the place of appointment. He had separated himself from his servants in the process.  Those who could stop him on his obedience mission in the name of ‘help’. However we know that ultimately the child was not sacrificed but Abraham had scored significant points on heaven’s radar for his obedience and complete trust in God and now God swore to bring to pass the promise and covenant that he had made with Abraham. The Bible says that we should count it all joy when we go through temptations because it ultimately leads to perfection through patience.  What is that precious thing that God is demanding as a sacrifice? Your time, your ideologies, your professional or political credibility, your resources and others? Trust him completely and obey. He comes through in uncommon ways when your obedience is complete.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the omnipotent God who can do all things. Thank you for being mindful of me. Thank you Lord for entrusting me with life’s treasures. Please Lord give me the grace to trust you in complete obedience as you take me on a journey to perfection in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
