You are a Kingdom representative

“Give not thy strength unto women, Nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings. It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; Nor for princes strong drink: Lest they drink, and forget the law, And pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.” Proverbs 31:3-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/pro.31.3-5.kjv

You are a Kingdom representative

God has expectations of his children as kingdom ambassadors, kings and princes. Hence, what may appear okay to others may not be acceptable for us. The Bible says that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood and a holy nation called forth to proclaim the praises of God that has called us from light into darkness. Even in the secular world, we know that royalty are treated to strictest level of trainings because they carry the power of the crown behind them. This is how we should see ourselves as children of God going through life.  The Bible tells us that all things are lawful but not all things are expedient. In today’s Bible reading, we are told not to commit our ways to the things that destroy kings. An example is given of wine and strong drinks and there are many more. So, before you rationalize the instructions that you receive as a kingdom entity, ask yourself if you are a kingdom prince or a commoner. With great privilege comes great responsibility. Live the life of a privileged kingdom child to continue to enjoy the privileges.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for the kingdom privileges that you accord me daily. Please help me to live according to the dictates of your expectations for me as kingdom royalty and let my life be a shining example of one who is blessed of God 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
