As children of God, we are empowered for service, blessed to be a blessing, to be channels of God’s goodness to the world and not reservoirs that stack up to stink after a while. In today’s Bible reading, the prophet Isaiah speaks about the spirit of the Lord being up on him as evidenced in the annointing to peach good tidings to the meek, bind up the broken hearted, and set free the oppressed.  Jesus Christ referenced this passage during his earthly ministry saying that it was fulfilled in their eyes. He went about doing his father’s business because the spirit of the Lord was upon him. So it is important that we don’t take the spirit of God upon us in vein. We must go about doing our father’s business in our own sphere of life so that we can receive the judgment of ‘Well done my faithful child”. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your spirit that is happy is as your children. Please Lord give me the grace to do all that you will have me do in my sphere of the world. Let your spirit in me empowering unto greatness through service in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
