You have an assignment
“and saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, Simon, sleepest thou? couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.” Mark 14:34-38 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mrk.14.34-38.kjv

Every one who has had or will have a significant kingdom assignment requires helpers to ‘hold up their hands’. Aaron and Hur played that role for Moses when his hands needed to be held us high for Israel to win the battle with the Amalekites. His hands needed to remain up for the victory to be complete but his flesh was tired so they supported him. In today’s Bible reading, ahead of his ultimate assignment, the Lord Jesus Christ was heavy in spirit and took his inner circle disciples along with him to pray. However, we see that they were too tired to watch with him in the place of prayer. According to Jesus, his spirit was willing but the flesh was weak. Thank God for divine submission because he yielded to His Father’s will despite the weakness and that is why we have the privilege today to be called the sons of God. Are there leaders in your sphere for whom you are called to be divine helpers? Don’t be caught napping in the days when they need you. You have been assigned for a purpose. Take your stand prayerfully to support the fulfillment of God’s kingdom agenda in your sphere.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the All-sufficient God. Our ever-present help in times of need. Please Lord, open my eyes to see the kingdom assignments that you have committed to me and grant me the grace to take up my stand to bring glory to your name in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
