Our help is in the Lord God, the maker of heaven and earth. The Bible reading today reminds of of the frailty of man as a source of help. And so it is important that we always get our priorities right - please God vs please man. The devil’s assignment is to create a separation between man and his greatest ally, the Lord almighty. We see in the reading today that through God we can do valiantly. So it’s important that we strive at all times to please God because God’s pleasure unlock victories over all of life’s situations.
