“And he took some of his brethren, even five men, and presented them unto Pharaoh. And Pharaoh said unto his brethren, What is your occupation? And they said unto Pharaoh, Thy servants are shepherds, both we, and also our fathers. “Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger? And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore. The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.” Ruth 2:10-12 KJV The Bible says “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Gal 6:9.. This is a great reference for the story of Ruth in today’s Bible reading. She had gone to a field to pickup leftover brains behind the harvesters and it was coincidentally the field of a relative of her father-in-law. She was amazed at his kindness because he was clearly making things easy for her. In return he informed her of how he had heard of her kind deeds to her mother-in-law. At the time that she was being kind to her Naomi, she was not doing it for financial gains. It was from the goodness of her heart and the love which she now had for Naomi and the Lord God. So, Are you doing good for the sake of the Lord? Are you feeling weary because you don’t see a line of sight to the reward? Don’t give up, keep at it with the right heart and our God who rewards in public that which done is secret will surely reward your labour of love in Jesus name.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I receive the grace not to be tired of doing good especially in kindgdom assignments. Help me to receive the rewarded in unexpected quarters in Jesus name. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.kjv

“And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do. And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do. And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.” Ruth 3:4-6 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/rut.3.4-6.Kjv In today’s Bible reading, we see that Naomi had guided Ruth on how to present herself to Boaz in the hope that he would marry her. It is important to note that success in that assignment was hinged in Ruth executing Naomi’s instruction to the letter, following the process as laid out as timing was key. Often, the Holy Spirit out guide lays certain instructions in our hearts to execute. However we sometimes start to process and modify the instructions to suit ourselves and yet we complain that we do not get the reward. We must follow the instructions we receive as the Bible reminds us that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Your rest is hinged on your obedience to divine instruction including the timing of execution. Don’t run faster than your guide and on the flip side do not delay the execution.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for the HolySpirit who guides and instructs us. Please give me the grace to do as instructed that I may enter into my rest. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.kjv
